Scrappy seconds aren’t necessarily a bad thing – especially when it comes to the delightful puzzler LEGO Builder’s Journey. First released in 2019 as part of Apple Arcade, the brick-‘em-up has been doing the rounds, releasing on PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, with PlayStation owners pondering when they’ll be next. Well, a PS Store listing suggests 19th April is the big day – at long last!
The release date does make sense: the game recently received a huge update on all platforms adding a Creative Mode, which is mentioned in the product page on PlayStation’s website. There’s no mention of a price in the store listing, but the game currently retails for around £15.99/$19.99 on PC, so expect to stump up a similar fee on PS5 and PS4.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the game, it’s a ridiculously beautiful puzzler that sees you moving bricks to help guide characters through small dioramas. The PC version famously uses raytracing, so we’re curious if it’ll push the PS5 equally hard – it really is one of the most stunningly realistic releases around right now.

Nice. I’ve been looking forward to having a go at this one. I love the simplicity in the design.
I love the look of this!
Does the ps5 version support RTX? One of the big selling points on pc was this game being an amazing RTX showcase.
If it doesn't have ray tracing then i won't bother.
Looks lovely. But since you can beat it in 2 hours, I'll wait for a discount.
Looking forward to but not for 20 bucks.
10 bucks would be my limit. Will wait for a discount in this case.
@darkswabber that’s the interesting question
I hope so. We will know it by tomorrow I guess.
The Game didnt have RTX on Xbox SX so probably also not on PS5
@WallyWest LOL quite picky aren't we
@ItsATM Not really as its the most defining thing about it on PC.
@IonMagi ah that’s a shame.
Lovely! Definitely picking this up.
Trophy list should be easy if the same as the other platforms too.
This was a good game that had such an interesting concept that it could have been amazing, but it never really got that complicated and was soon over.
It has ray tracing on Ps5, just not trophies it seems! They pop during gameplay but the listed doesn't seem to sync to psn.
